AEREA

AEREA is projected as a unique place in the world, where people of all ages and abilities experience new sensations with their body in motion.

The aerial dance was created by the choreographer Brenda Angiel.

 

Primordially created shows that traveled the world and then codified
the movements to generate a technique and a teaching method. More than 10000 people have experienced aerial dance through courses taught in Argentina and abroad.

 

Aerial dance is a new form of expression where the body in suspension is expressed. The technical resource used are ropes (static and elastic) and different types of harnesses.

 

At AEREA there are courses for all ages: children, adolescents, adults. AEREA has a 200m2 shed specially equipped and designed for the activity and 100m2 for changing rooms, offices and living rooms.

 

AEREA is located at Bartolomé Miter 4272 in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Experiment other gravity and other  space: the aerial one

The frequency is chosen by the student being able to choose between one, two or three per week.

 

Previous experience is not necessary.

 

The equipment used is provided (harnesses, ropes, carabiners, etc.) is the same that is used in the sport of climbing and rescue tasks. Each of them is of the best quality and is verified and certified of origin and checked the maintenance.

 

The building structure is specially designed and tested by architects, while Air is enabled to carry out the activity by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.

REQUIREMENTS

The classes are for all public.

Previous experience is not necessary.

They are divided by ages:

•  Children aged 6 to 12 years  •  Adolescents 13 to 17 years  •  Adults 18 years and over.

It is possible to join at any time of the year.

Each student will choose a schedule that he wants to enter and expose monthly.

 

In each class the students are divided into groups, according to levels.

 

Count of As a prerequisite, every student who has just started must describe, complete and sign the sworn
declaration, the aerial dance regulation and the registration form.

BRENDA ANGIEL

COREOGRAPHER / TEACHER

She has received awards, grants and scholarships that turned her into an
unquestioned referent between the argentine choreographers. In 1994 her search for newchoreographic languages is geared toward the creation of a movement of a new nature:Aerial Dance. From there, the company Brenda Angiel Aerial Dance was born. Shecreated the aerial dance technique in 1997 and from then on it has spread out all over theworld. She has received international students at her School and she has also been invited to teach at many prestigious dance Schools around the world such as: American Dance Festival (NC, US), Aerial Dance Festival (Boulder, Colorado, US), Wired Aerial Dance Theatre School in Liverpool (Great Britain). The school has received more than 10000 students all over the years. She is professor at the National University of Arts in the post-graduated courses in aerial dance as part of a program of new tendencies in Dance. She has also thought at the Rojas Cultural Center that is part of the Buenos Aires University.

MAXI NAVARRO

DANCER / TEACHER

He is a dancer and he has studied at the San Martin Contemporary
Dance School.

He has won a scholarship from Julio Bocca Foundation to study for a year at his school.

He is a dancer at the Brenda Angiel Aerial Dance Company and he is also
part of the cast of CEM directed by Analia Gonzalez and he is a co-director of Emergentes Company.

LIZA RULE LARREA

VIVI FINKELSTEIN

DANCER

She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1979.

She studied at the National School of Ballet for seven years, where she received a certificate as a National Teacher of Ballet. She also studied at the National University of the Arts (IUNA) for four years and was a member of the IUNA Ballet. With this company she took part in many operas at the Colon Theatre, San Martin Theatre and National Cervantes Theatre.

She is has joined the company in 2002 and she has performed on international tours and important festivals.

NATI LA PORTA

DANCER / TEACHER

She has studied different aerial techniques such us: trapeze, Indiana cord. Now she is studying contemporary dance and yoga.

 

She is a teacher at Aerea School since 2012 and has been assistant to the classes of aerial dance at the Rojas Cultural Center at the University of Buenos Aires.

CAROLINA TIRONI

DANCER / TEACHER

She has studied at the Contemporary School of the San Martin Theatre in Buenos Aires.

She has worked as a dancer with many choreographers such us: Diana Theocharidis y Mayra Bonard.

She is has obtain a scholarship from the National Fond for the Arts to study Dance and Philosophy.

She is teaching currently aerialdance, contemporary dance improvisation.

DANCER / TEACHER

She is a dancer, teacher and acrobat. She has her degree in Art management and Production from the University of Buenos Aires. She has completed the school in contemporary dance from the San Martin Theatre in 2010.

She has won a scholarship from the National Fond for the Arts of Argentina in 2012.

She has worked as a dancer for many choreographers such as: Edgardo Mercado.
